With industry researchers predicting a major shakeout of the offshore outsourcing market over the next several years - particularly in India, the world’s largest offshore outsourcing market - US companies are facing the challenge of finding a partner that can stand the test of time. According to a recent report by independent market analyst firm Datamonitor, there are more than 250 contact centers dedicated to offshore outsourcing in India alone - many of which will be forced to shut down or consolidate operations due to oversupply, shrinking margins, competition from multinational vendors and acquisition by larger IT enabled services (ITES) and business process outsourcing (BPO) providers.

Raja Gopalakrishnan, Regional Director, North America at ICICI OneSource, one of India’s largest business process outsourcing companies, can explain:

– How US companies can determine which offshore vendors are here to stay and which are not

– Why domain expertise and industry knowledge are critical components of a successful outsourcing relationship

– What steps companies should take to protect their investment in an offshore outsourcing relationship

– Why many contact centers remain underutilized despite the growing number of US companies outsourcing offshore
